						周金元,男,汉族,湖北黄冈人。中共党员,博士,教授,博士生导师。

2002年毕业于兰州大学物理科学与技术学院,获理学学士学位(物理学),导师张福甲教授;2010年毕业于兰州大学物理科学与技术学院,获理学博士学位(凝聚态物理),导师谢二庆教授。2010-2012年新加坡南洋理工大学航天与机械工程学院博士后,合作导师郑联喜教授。2002年起在兰州大学物理科学与技术学院(含兰州医学院医学工程系)任教,先后被聘为助教(2003),讲师(2010),副教授(2013),青年教授(2016)和教授(2018)。2016年被遴选为硕士生导师(凝聚态物理/材料物理与化学/材料工程);2017年被遴选为博士生导师(凝聚态物理/材料物理与化学)。
